Young attacker Michael Olise from Crystal Palace may be the most recent youngster to join Mauricio Pochettino’s squad this summer.
According to RMC Sports, the Blues have made a £39 million approach for Olise, who is a rising star for Crystal Palace and is reportedly eager to transfer.
However, Manchester City, who sees the winger as a potential replacement for Riyad Mahrez, who has agreed to a transfer to the Saudi Pro League, may challenge Chelsea.
After agreeing to a £34.7 million transfer to Saudi Pro League team Al-Ahli, Mahrez is expected to leave the Etihad.
According to RMC Sports in France, the midfielder has not only accepted a bid from Chelsea but has also been’seduced by the project’ at the west London club.
The underappreciated 21-year-old has seen a remarkable rise since moving to Crystal Palace from Reading for £8 million just two years ago.
He had two goals last season, including a spectacular free kick against Manchester United, but more importantly, he had 11 assists.
