Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, was happy with Andre Onana’s performance in goal during the Red Devils’ 2-0 loss to Real Madrid in a preseason friendly at the NRG Stadium in Texas.
Ten Hag claimed that Onana, who transferred from Inter Milan to Man United, performed well and firmly against Real Madrid.
Jude Bellingham and Joselu scored goals to help Real Madrid defeat Manchester United.
After the game, Ten Hag praised Onana’s performance as “good, solid.”
“Two excellent saves. He performed his duties because he was available when the team needed him. I believe he fit in nicely with our group.
We have a lot of work to do between him and the defense part (of the team), since this is the first game. The second goal made it clear where we fall short at the back post. Goals won’t come there if it’s like that.
There are some regulations that we must abide by, and they will appear quickly. We have incorporated these into our style of play.
