Subsidy palliative: Govt of renewed shege – Sowore knocks FG

Omoyele Sowore, a human rights campaigner, has blasted President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Sowore called Tinubu’s administration a “renewed shege” government.

He said so in response to Tinubu’s choice to give Nigerians palliative treatment for a period of six months.

Sowore tweeted: “The government of #RenewedShege! So, for six months, @officialABAT will offer a palliative of N53 each day?

Jokes that went too far Nigerians are not valued by these guys! #Revolutionnow.”

Plans to distribute N8,000 to 12 million underprivileged households nationwide were announced by Tinubu.

Within the following six months, he promised, the funds would be distributed to needy Nigerians.

The president’s strategy was outlined in a letter to the House of Representatives on the former president Muhammadu Buhari’s administration’s request for a loan of 800 million dollars for a social safety net program.

He requested that the loan be obtained via the House of Representatives.
