Maikaba set to be named new Kano Pillars head coach

The four-time champions of the Nigeria Premier League, Kano Pillars, are ready to welcome back Abdul Maikaba as their head coach.

When Maikaba first started managing football teams, he worked as an assistant coach at Pillars.

The seasoned manager oversaw Rangers for two years before leaving the position at the conclusion of the previous campaign.

The Daily Post broke the news that Maikaba and Pillars are already far along in their negotiations.

Next week, Maikaba is anticipated to take over management of Sai Masu Gida.

On Friday, Kano Pillars made known that its technical staff had been fired.

At the Nigeria National League Super Eight playoffs earlier this month, the team won promotion to the NPL.
