Young6ix, a Nigerian hip-hop musician located in the United States, has criticized singer Davido for leaving him off of his list of the first generation of young people to become successful in the Nigerian music industry.
Davido reportedly claimed, according to DAILY POST, that he and Wizkid were the first young Nigerian musicians to achieve popularity.
He expressed his excitement over the “new cats” (stars) that are currently ruling the music industry, including Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Mayorkun, and Asake.
Young6ix responded with a video message posted on social media, claiming that Wizkid, Olamide, and he all became famous before Davido.
David, David, he said. How often did I call your name? You understand, my boy, that I only have love to give you. But let’s be clear about this. Before you, it was Wizkid, Olamide, and Young6ix. We were the youngsters back then.
You intend to omit me from the legacy, right?
