Gabriel Jesus, an Arsenal striker, has stated that they will again contend with Manchester City for the championship the following year.
Despite dominating for more than 200 days, the Gunners came in second place to Pep Guardiola’s team last season.
Jesus has now acknowledged that the team’s nervousness played a part in Arsenal’s defeat.
He is encouraging his teammates to take what they’ve learned and try again, though.
“It’s difficult to know (where we fell short), but I believe sometimes at the end of the season, we were a little bit nervous as a team,” Jesus remarked prior to his club’s final preseason game against Barcelona.
“They were not worried, which made a difference because usually they win. We have experience with it this season, so it will be different.
