Details of what UK ex-Prime Minister, Tony Blair told Tinubu

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair has visited Bola Tinubu, the next president of Nigeria, ahead of his inauguration on May 29.

Blair made clear during the visit on Tuesday in Abuja that he was ready to help Tinubu’s new administration thrive.

The Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, according to the former British prime minister, would work with Tinubu’s administration to prioritize its objectives and execution.

Blair claimed that he met Tinubu as a result of the institute’s research in Nigeria and added that the encounter will help him comprehend the priorities of the future administration.

“We would like to help in any way with your administration,” Blair said to Tinubu. All we need is guidance on how to make the leadership priorities a reality.

He praised Tinubu’s campaign for emphasizing the vital fields of power, agriculture, economy, and security.

The former British prime minister expressed hope that the Tinubu administration would have the backing it needs to promote economic development in the nation given the investors’ demonstrated desire to invest in Nigeria.

In reply, Tinubu thanked Blair for visiting and for pledging to cooperate with his incoming government.
