The inauguration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president of Nigeria has prompted a response from the Christian Association of Nigeria, or CAN.
The highest authority in Christianity claims that the inauguration marks a fresh beginning for the nation.
Today, May 29, 2023, at Eagles Square, Tinubu, who was certified the winner of the 2023 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, took the oath of office.
Additionally, CAN welcomed the former Lagos mayor and wished him well as he assumes the duties of governing the country in a statement that was signed by Archbishop Daniel Okoh.
The group stated that there is considerable work to be done in order to ensure that Nigeria can realize its full potential. The issues the nation is facing, which range from economic hardships to security worries, need for strong and decisive leadership.
In the statement, it was urged that President Tinubu give these problems top priority and put up great effort to develop long-term fixes that would enhance the standard of living for Nigerians.
Nigerians must unite as a nation with a spirit of togetherness and a strong sense of accommodation as we face our shared issues in order to build a formidable force. In order to do this, we are confident that Nigeria can overcome all challenges and emerge stronger than before as His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu actively engages all Nigerians, regardless of their political, ethnic, and religious leanings.
