Ajako dumps Akwa United for foreign club

James Ajako, a defender, has left Akwa United of the Nigerian Premier League.

A defensive stalwart for The Promise Keepers is rumored to have quit the organization as a free agent and is planning to relocate abroad.

Ajako reportedly left the nation to finalize a summer transfer, according to DAILY POST.

The highly regarded left-back is reportedly the subject of serious interest from FUS Rabat in Morocco.

After the 2022–23 season, Ajako was included in the NPL’s top eleven.

For the Uyo club, he tallied three goals and five assists.
