Popular Nollywood Yoruba actor Shoneye Olamilekan, often known as Show, has been suspended by the African Men Entertainment Kings (AFRIMEK) for physically attacking Temidayo Morakinyo, a younger colleague.
This occurs shortly after the actress accused the actor on social media of physically assaulting her on a shoot.
Morakinyo detailed how the actor rushed her filming location in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Friday and battered her in a series of images on her Instagram account.
She claimed in her images that Show hit her in the face and damaged her lip after she reported his disruptive behavior to her superiors on Thursday.
Morakinyo stated that the assault left her in pain and that her family is demanding justice.
In response, AFRIMEK distanced themselves from the actor and denounced his behavior in a letter that was signed by Femi Adebayo.
In the letter, Temidayo is informed that Olamilekan Shoneye, also known as Show, a member of our club, attacked you verbally, emotionally, and physically.
He is not portraying the image that our club has been known to promote with his behavior. While our disciplinary committee conducts additional inquiries to elucidate all the details of the regrettable situation, he has been promptly sanctioned and suspended indefinitely.
We also want to express our deepest regrets to you. Such treatment is unjustified. We will split the cost of your medical care equally in order to get you well again. We are making this gesture to express how sorry we are as a group.
